Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies

“...through the horses.... my coping skills, patience, concentration, have all improved and are helping my outlook on life."
Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT), including Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), the TA Method activities, and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) programs, offer positive benefits for people of all ages and abilities.
Working with horses has a calming effect. They are empathetic, attuned to human emotion, and tend to reflect the behaviours of individuals who are around them. Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies help with building skills and confidence, providing a sense of empowerment and control, reducing anxiety, coping with trauma, and improving mental and physical health.
At Horse Ability, our trained human-and-equine team works with you to develop custom equine-facilitated learning sessions to meet your unique needs and goals, empowering you to move forward toward living your best life.
And great news! As of March 2023, we are newly a not-for-profit organization. We look forward to working with and assisting as many people as possible through our programs with our equine partners.
From individual programs, social-emotional
learning, and life skill development, to special events and workshops, Horse Ability offers a range of professional experiential equine-assisted activities and programs to suit the needs of individuals, families, and corporate groups. We are proud members of the the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), Equine Facilitated Wellness (EFW), Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int'l) and the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF), and our programs meet the requirements of the equine, health and social services industries.
